Kees Kortmulder on the Canoe and Hiking Trek in Southern Sweden

It’s amazing to discover that you can do much more than you think. This expedition started with 3 days of canoeing. It’s funny how the world looks from the water. The area consists of several small lakes and one large lake. So sometimes the canoe had to be moved over land. What seems impossible at first, we still manage to fix in the end. Every evening we looked for a spot on an uninhabited island. That is possible and allowed in Sweden. A campfire and enjoying the sunset completed the day.

Then 3 days with the backpack. Food and tent on your back. Fortunately, that backpack got a little lighter every day. Walking through beautiful forests and occasionally a beautiful view of one of the lakes. Nice to see the landscape from a different angle now. We ended the expedition culturally with the Midsommar festival and a visit to Runestones. Thanks Arctic Adventure for this great trip. Everything was well taken care of. From beautiful spacious tents to delicious food. The travel guidance was also great! I felt in safe hands every time. Sometimes I was physically challenged quite a bit. But that is precisely what ultimately created a proud and satisfied feeling. In short, if you are looking for peace and quiet and want to be challenged at the same time, join an expedition from Arctic Adventure.
