I took the Outdoor First Aid Essentials course from Arctic Adventure. A one-day course where you get updated by Henk-Jan Geel (owner and also Wilderness Guide and Polar Guide) and Irene Vial (Doctor and expedition leader). It wasn’t just talking and watching a presentation. Everyone received an emergency kit and could get to work bandaging fingers, etc. Attention was also paid to packing a victim for transport, how to really put on a sling or make one from a t-shirt, etc. Really fun and useful to do (together).
