Learn to make a travel video with your smartphone
The phone and GoPro always go with us on trips. You film here and there until the battery runs out. Once home, the results are disappointing. You forward a video via WhatsApp. A long 30-minute shot makes it integral to YouTube. To draw as many as 5 viewers there. The rest remains untouched on your phone. To wait. Well … on what actually.
Turn your videos into inspirational travel documentaries.
Meet Kevin Augello!
Kevin is an international (and English-speaking) expedition filmmaker.
He teaches the workshop “Adventure Film Making: The Insider’s Guide to Making Epic Travel Videos.
The Adventure Filmmaking workshop has many components.
The adventure filmmaking workshop covers a variety of topics to help you learn the skills and techniques needed to create inspiring adventure videos.
The following topics pass the review.
Preparation: This includes choosing locations, exploring the environment and creating storyboards.
Camera techniques: You will learn about different camera angles, shots and movements that can be used when filming adventure scenes.
Audio recording: It is important to record high-quality audio to increase the quality of the video. The workshop covers techniques for recording sound on location, as well as the use of microphones and other audio equipment.
Editing: We will not be editing during the workshop. But you do get an overview of different software and techniques used in editing adventure videos.
Storytelling: An important aspect of adventure filmmaking is the ability to tell an appealing story. The workshop will cover techniques for forming an engaging story and using visual and audio elements.
Safety: Not to be underestimated, but filming adventure scenes can be risky. So it’s important to learn about safety precautions that can be taken when filming in potentially dangerous environments.
Case Studies: You will get to see examples of successful adventure videos and learn about the challenges and successes of the filmmakers who created them.
This is Kevin Augello.
The workshop will be given in English by international filmmaker Kevin Augello.
