We are traveling from Kangerlussuaq on the west side of Greenland to Isortoq on the east side. With this blog post, I am testing the process from recording to publication to see if everything is running smoothly.  <\/p>\n<h2>The team<\/h2>\n<p>The expedition is being carried out by an international team of four participants. We have two female participants: Malene from Denmark and Jasmijn from the Netherlands. In addition, Neil from the United Kingdom and Christian from Denmark are also part of the team. The expedition is led by Karin Sloove, the lead guide of Arctic Adventure. The team consists of three women and two men who will cross the Greenland Ice Sheet together, a distance of approximately 560 kilometers.    <\/p>\n<h2>Start and progress of the expedition<\/h2>\n<p>The first steps on the ice sheet will be taken on May 1, 2026. The goal is to reach the other side within 30 to 31 days, depending on the weather, the conditions, and the team itself. <\/p>\n<h2>Support and preparation<\/h2>\n<p>As basecamp manager, I am occasionally assisted by Wouter Plaatsman, a colleague who made the same crossing two years ago. Besides us, a medic and a meteorologist are also present for support.
