Just when we are hungry.<br \/>Make a campfire and take a dip in refreshing lakes.<br \/>We spend the night in a real Swedish &#8220;Vindskydd&#8221;.<br \/><strong>An open wooden log cabin in the middle of nowhere.<\/strong><br \/><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\">At the end of the tour is the highlight.<br \/>We celebrate the traditional Midsommar together with the locals.<br \/>Exactly on the Hiking Trekking Southern Sweden.<\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Natural and active introduction to Sweden.<\/em><\/h3>\n<hr>\n<h3>Day 1<\/h3>\n<p>On your own you will come to the town of <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/QtMC7QfNyzjHGLa79\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Olofstr\u00f6m<\/a>. This is in the south of Sweden in the province of Blekinge.<br \/>\nWe will meet at 19:00 for a joint dinner. Dinner also includes the briefing for the rest of the week<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/arcticadventure.nl\/en\/travel-to-south-sweden-with-car-train-airplane\/\">Here&#8217;s how to get to Olofstr\u00f6m<\/a> by car, train or plane.<\/p>\n<h3>Day 2<\/h3>\n<p>Today we are going to start right away. In the morning, our canoes are ready to be launched. The rest of the day is all about paddling and enjoying. Wonderful that peace of rippling water against the bow of the canoe.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the day, we look for a desert island to pitch the tent. A campfire completes the day.<\/p>\n<h3>Day 3<\/h3>\n<p>After breaking camp we load up the canoe. A new day is ahead. Today we explore the lake system further. We just enjoy lunch along the shore. Including swimming, of course. This day also ends with a camp in nature and a campfire with homemade bread.<\/p>\n<h3>Day 4<\/h3>\n<p>In the morning, we break up to head north by canoe. Around noon, the canoes are picked up and we continue on foot. We walk several more kilometers on the <span class=\"gyWzne\">Sk\u00e5ne <\/span>trail. A beautiful hike through the Swedish wilderness and through fragrant deciduous forests.<\/p>\n<h3>Day 5<\/h3>\n<p>Today we continue our path. The <span class=\"gyWzne\">Sk\u00e5ne <\/span>trail gives way to the Blekinge trail. Sporadically we come across some cottages and always there is the view of the lakes. In the evening we end up at one of Sweden&#8217;s many wind shelters. Again, campfire. An almost recognizable ritual ;-)<\/p>\n<h3>Day 6<\/h3>\n<p>After breakfast we walk slowly and during the afternoon we arrive back at the campsite in Olofstr\u00f6m.<\/p>\n<h3>Day 7<\/h3>\n<p>Rest. That&#8217;s what we&#8217;re going to do today. We do that with a tour by car to Europe&#8217;s largest Runes circle. Extraordinary to think that people erected these stones here hundreds of years ago. In the afternoon, we visit a typical Swedish Fika restaurant. &#8216;Kaffe med bullar&#8217; Coffee with some goodies is waiting for us. While enjoying all those goodies, look back on a crazy week full of discoveries and experiences.<\/p>\n<h3>Day 8<\/h3>\n<p>Well, we have to face it. Today you will drive back home on your own and at your own pace. You will find yourself driving slower. Maybe because you don&#8217;t want to leave. Maybe because you are fully rested. You experience what an expedition could be like. Sometimes spicy, sometimes easy. But always together.<br \/>\nWe often sleep in tents. On summer trips, you can choose to bring your own tent. On winter treks, at least two people always sleep in a tent for safety reasons. Arctic Adventure provides the winter tents.<br \/>\nWe move, cook, and navigate together. The beauty of small groups is that there is always a real and good group feeling. It&#8217;s nice if you can hike with a backpack on, though. Think about 10 kilometers a day with a 15-pound backpack.
